Machining Manager

As Machining Manager, Brad brings 25+ years of industry experience to Axis’ machine shop. He is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of operations that change daily to meet our customers’ demands.

Brad’s departmental leadership is demonstrated through his hands-on knowledge of all the machining operations performed at Axis. This gives our customers the benefit of working hand-in-hand with Brad during the quoting and purchasing process in order to save time and money.

Account Executive

Jason uses his 24 years of welding experience, 17 of which have been with Axis, and his training in project management to provide our customers with the right solution to their problems. As a welder he specialized in stainless and aluminum welding, tasked with everything from high visibility jobs for the University of Tennessee to tiny improvements on specialized parts. Jason uses this commitment to excellence and range of abilities to bring customers exactly what they need, no matter the size or the task.

Since taking over as majority owner and president, James has stuck to the values and principles that have been instilled in Axis from the beginning. He believes the best way to afford our customers great service is to have great people.

His Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Tennessee and his shop experience enable him to handle the day-to-day operations as well as plan for Axis’ future. Having learned from the ground up, James brings a dedication and knowledge of the company that its customers have benefited from for over 25 years.

Office Manager

Vivian helps bring order to the extremely busy office environment of Axis by efficiently handling all the functions required in the world of management and human resources. With an Associates of Business Administration/Computer Accounting, she makes sure all day-to-day operations for the office staff go as smoothly as possible.

For 15 years, she has been invaluable to our company. Our employees count on Vivian and her staff to make certain that nothing is overlooked in the world of 401k’s, medical insurance, and payroll.

Business Development Manager

Over 20 years of experience in the metal fabrication industry allows Brian to assist new and existing customers in identifying how Axis can enhance their businesses. His hands-on approach with buyers, engineers and company executives provides a great way to ensure they fully utilize Axis to get the highest quality parts and add maximum value to their bottom line.
In addition, he also handles our software upgrades and keeps our facility’s computer systems operational.

Business Operations Manager

With over 20 years of management experience in the service industry, Mike provides Axis with distinct benefits in his role as Business Operations Manager.

With a BS in Operations Management and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Tennessee, Mike helps maintain the company’s focus on meeting its clients’ needs. In addition to servicing our customers during the estimation/bidding process, Mike assists Axis in targeting and acquiring new clients.

He also directs the efforts to find and hire the best talent available which helps Axis maintain its focus on exceeding customer expectations.

CAD Manager

Since he arrived at Axis in 2016, Travis’ excellence in the CAD department provides Axis with the tools to put our clients’ ideas into reality. After many years of hands-on fabrication experience, his transition to CAD almost 10 years ago allows Travis the expertise to guide clients down the right path with his practical advice. He allows Axis to take a design that’s “drawn on a napkin” or an actual model of the item and prepare it for production.

Welding Manager

Having 30 years of experience in the machining and fabricating industries allows Mark to handle multiple responsibilities as Welding Manager. He benefits Axis by overseeing the daily processes involving welding while also contributing to other crucial areas of our business.

Mark uses his background in facility construction and machine maintenance to keep our facilities in top working order. If needed, he can also provide expertise as a field consultant during a client’s design/build phase at a job site.

Director of Operations

Since 1993, Gene provides Axis with tremendous experience in our sheet metal fabrication department. One look at examples of parts he and his team have produced and the high level of excellence he exudes will quickly become evident.

Gene manages his team in the use of our TRUMPF laser cutting machine and CNC press brake & punch machines to create complex prototypes or large production runs of standard parts. If requested, he also consults with our clients to determine the most cost-efficient and effective way to produce their parts.

Quality Manager/Safety Director

With over 25 years of management experience in the fields of quality, sales, and distribution, Travis provides Axis with valuable experience in multiple industries. He has an A.A.S. in Electronics Technology from ITT and secondary training in quality disciplines in the military, automotive, and commercial fields. As Quality Manager, Travis focuses on the quality objectives of our customers to ensure that their parts are manufactured to meet their specific needs. He also leads the shipping and receiving department to ensure that all parts are packaged and delivered in accordance with the customer’s expectations.

Since retiring in January 2014, Pat has reaped the rewards of 25 years of wise leadership and consummate effort. Pat achieved his dream of launching a state-of-the-art fabrication and machine company. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, his vision began in the model shop at Phillips Electronics as he developed his zeal for the industry.

His success has come from a philosophy to hire the best people available and produce results that exceed the clients’ expectations. Pat is enjoying retirement, but he still makes time to stop by the shop for social visits.
